Good Evening, District 8 rural meal distribution will start tomorrow. Please remember social distancing rules. Young people will be excited to be out, please remind them to wait patiently and maintain distance from each other. Times: Most stops will occur between 9:15 - 9:35 am Menards and South Ridge Apartments between 10:00-10:15 am Western Vet and Eric's 10:25-10:30 am There will be school employees at each site to help with distribution. Students need to pick up food (this is a federal rule) Students will receive a lunch in one bag, a breakfast for the following morning and milk.

Good afternoon Hawk families! Our team is working hard to get meals delivered. Your regular bus driver is on self quarantine so we have to double up on stops. We are estimating that meals will be delivered to Mernards, and Southridge Apts. between 10am and 10:15. Landmark suites will be the combined stop for Western Vet and Erics, estimated time will be 10:25am and 10:30. Hawk Family: The COVID-19 Family First Response Act is expanding the ability of schools to supply meals. Monday through Friday, grab and go meals for children ages 1-18 will be provided at Bakken Elementary, Hagan Elem, and the Housing Authority Park from 11:30-12:30. These meals are available to all DI and D8 students. Starting Wednesday, March 25, meals will also be distributed at WCSD8 bus stops and Missouri Ridge School. Please watch for a WCSD8 survey and respond by Monday morning. Students must be present to receive meals. Parents may choose the location where they wish to receive meals.

As a result of our large and unexpected increase in enrollment and the time constraints associated with it, we will have to make the following changes beginning on Monday, September 10th : - 4th & 5th Grade Class Changes The 5th Grade classes at Missouri Ridge have grown beyond reasonable capacity and we are going to have to split the two classes in to three classes. To accommodate this move, we will have to move a class of 4th graders to Garden Valley. Mrs. Herland will be the 4th Grade teacher at Garden Valley. Mrs. Wetzel will be the new 5th grade teacher at Missouri Ridge. Parents of students affected by the 4th and 5th grade class switches will be contacted directly. - School Start & End Times Start and end times at Garden Valley and Round Prairie will change to: 8:10am Start Time 3:05pm Dismissal Time If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact your school’s principal.
